REPORT: Chorley 4-2 Manchester City u21s

Cummins's overhead kick part of Magpies' win vs Cityzens.
CHORLEY were dominant in their 4-2 victory against Manchester City’s under 21s in a pre-season encounter.
Goals from Harvey Smith and Trialist B in the first half, as well as a cracker from Jacob Cummins and a second Magpie goal for Elliot Taylor in the second half, helped the Magpies soar to victory on Friday evening.
Smith opened the scoring 10 minutes in; a good cross by the returning George Horbury met the head of the defender, and his effort looped into the top corner.
City though, would equalise four minutes later, when Teddie Lamb found himself in behind and he slotted his effort into the bottom corner.
Then, in the 27th minute, Trialist B was brought down in the box by a defender, after the penalty was given, he stepped up and slotted it into the bottom left corner a minute later – putting Chorley back into the lead.
Andy Preece’s side got their third in incredible fashion, when following a lofted Whitehouse cross, Cummins jumped into the air and unleashed an amazing overhead kick which found the top corner, an unbelievable goal from the youngster.
The Magpies got their fourth of the game five minutes later, some good link up play between Cummins and Taylor allowed the latter to go through one-on-one and slot his strike past the keeper to net hissecond goal for the club.
The visitors got a late consolation goal through Jake Wain in the 84th minute but the Magpies’ lead was never in any real trouble towards the end of the game.
